Wenge is a heavy, dark, tropical hardwood from Central Africa known for its deep chocolate brown color, extreme hardness, and coarse texture. The colour and grain has a rich coffee brown to dark chocolate hue with nearly black lines and fine veins.
 
Bloodwood is a dense, exotic hardwood known for its vibrant red color, high durability, and challenging workability. It primarily comes from South American trees (Brosimum rubescens), though the name also applies to certain Australian and African trees that bleed a dark red sap.
